9/11

History before our eyes
A symbol crumbled

Our hearts yearn
Our hearts ache

Our minds question
Our minds look for answers

We may never understand what happened
We may never know why

We must learn
We must unite

Patience is a virtue,
Revenge kills more

Take heed the lessons from history
Peace says more than missiles

Listen to one another
Listen to the people

More blood won’t bring them back
They are in God’s hands now

Be the bigger nation
Teach our children right
