Some days later the sun left
the afternoon sky. Replaced with
nothing, leaving star dust and
dark matter in its wake, what
I did see vanished. Afraid to
move or make any sounds, I went
within myself and the dream
became distant, confusing –
a distraction.
After some time passed
I ran and hid beneath a bridge
near a sign in bold, red letters
with my name.
I fell asleep.
I woke here.
