This evening was my first poetry reading ever, and was of a poem recently published in Lief Magazine. I was nervous as hell, as public speaking is something I have been good at avoiding. The editors of Lief, Mike Finley and Danny Klecko, were gracious in accepting the poem “Playground” and asking me to read at SubText in Saint Paul. This was a humbling experience, as so many other writers, well-known in MN and beyond, also read their work. It was an entertaining evening, and one I am honored to be a part of.

Thank you Robyn! Definitely one of those things I needed to get through, for the experience, and exposure. Glad this first one is over with.
