Wandering the fields,
a dusting of snow coats mature pine trees and grasses.
They run free and wild as I walk
the trails we began building in the spring.
Coyote dens near the hills are clean and organized
and the fox den recently found is still visible.
So much life and nature in this field.
Years are needed to visit each tree.
When they return from visiting the forest depth
they are calm and wanting to share the story
I do not see and struggle to overcome mind-blocks,
but through their eyes I begin to connect.
